Hermann Arntzen Hestbek is a versatile tuba and bass trumpet player and composer based in Trondheim.

He is part of the exciting young Norwegian jazz scene, and is active as a musician, improviser and composer in various bands such as Madmax, Don’t Feed the Sun and RUNDMO in addition to his own Hermann Hestbek Ensemble. Hermann works broadly in terms of genre and he also uses electronics to expand his musical palette.

Hermann is also the producer of the contemporary music group Alpaca Ensemble
